Rivven exists
Why we started a company that makes useful things fun, and what you can expect from us.
As of today Rivven is officially registered. Wageningen, one line at the Dutch chamber of commerce, and an idea we have been chewing on for a while.
The idea
Most useful things are boring. Think of the average onboarding, the average information panel, the average team meeting. And most fun things lead nowhere — you play them, you laugh, and that is that.
We think both are a waste. A treasure hunt can teach you something. A work tool can be something you enjoy opening. That is the whole company: making fun things useful and useful things fun.
What we do
We make our own products and sell them. No bespoke work and no proposal rounds: ready-made tools that you set up yourself, in your own style.
The first product is already running: StepByStepApp, which lets you build a tour, treasure hunt or onboarding out of separate steps. People scan a QR code and off they go. Number two is called Teamcast and arrives in 2027. Number three exists, but we are not saying anything about that yet.
Why it works
Because you can get going on your own. No forty-page manual, no project manager and no technical knowledge needed. Switch it on, fill it in, and let people discover.
And we have one measure that really counts: if it isn't fun, it isn't finished. That sounds like a joke, but we mean it — it is literally in our brand guide.
What happens next
The first places are going live. Once they are running we will put them here as cases. In the meantime we write down what we build and what we learn along the way.
